  Distinct Operation Guide
Added by Alex Khizhnyak, last edited by Alex Khizhnyak on Nov 20, 2007  (view change)

The Distinct operation is similar to the "SELECT ... DISTINCT" SQL query. It eliminates duplications in the source data table. The following guide will help you learn how to configure the node.

You can edit the properties only after your Distinct module is connected to the source table. You will see the list of the source fields. You need to choose one or more, to set the fields in which data duplications will be eliminated.

This operation does not return all of the table fields, just the ones selected during configuring the node. (This is how the "SELECT ... DISTINCT" SQL query works.) Which means, if you want to make contact records distinct and then migrate that data, you will need to select all fields that you want to transfer (for instance, the phone number, e-mail, address, etc.).

If you want to transfer all of the fields, you can press "Ctrl+A".
