This guide will help you learn how to sum up two integer values, or to add up a given constant to an integer value.

Summing Up Two Fields

To sum up two integer values,

  1. Configure data sources and provide the mapping.



    This guide uses the following table as a source:



  2. Open the Transform node.
  3. Switch to the Functions tab.
  4. Click on the Math section to find the Sum icon.



  5. Drag-and-drop it to to the Transformation work panel.
  6. Switch back to the Input tab.
  7. Drag-and-drop the Numeric fields of the two summands and the output field to the Transformation work panel and map them as shown in the picture below.



  8. Close the Transformation window to return to Apatar's work panel.

Summing Up a Field and a Constant

To add up a given constant to an integer value,

     a) Drag-and-drop the input and the output fields and map them together as shown below.

          

     b) Right-click on the Sum icon and select Configure (or simply double-click on it).
     c) Set the constant (Value) to be added to the value of the input field.

          

     d) Click Ok.

Preview

     To preview the results of summing up, right-click on the Output node and select Preview Results.
