This guide will help you learn how to start working with Apatar On-Demand, a Web-based solution for synchronizing data between Salesforce CRM and desktop edition of the QuickBooks accounting software.

Configuration

To configure Apatar On-Demand and start Salesforce-QuickBooks synchronization, please follow these steps:

  1. Register or enter your authentication details at http://www.apatar.com/SFDC2QB/login.htm.
  2. Fill in the form:

  3. Enter the frequency of synchronization launches.
  4. Download the agent application and save it to your local disk.
  5. Run the Web connector from your desktop QuickBooks:

  6. In this Web connector, specify the path to the agent application you've downloaded.
  7. Enter your QuickBooks password.
  8. Click Ok.

Security Certificate Installation

Before you can start synchronizing your data, Apatar On-Demand's security certificate needs to be installed. To do so,

  1. Open this page in your browser: https://apatar.com:8443/SFDC2QB/login.htm.
  2. A Certificate Error is likely to appear. Please, choose to proceed to the requested page.

  3. Now, choose View certificates.

  4. The Certificate window will appear. Press Install Certificate.

Using Apatar On-Demand

  1. Log in at http://www.apatar.com/SFDC2QB/login.htm.
  2. This is Apatar On-Demand's main user interface.

In the left, there is a list of connectors and operations available (in fact, at the moment Apatar On-Demand supports only one operation - Functional Transfer). To start working with a connector or an operation, drag-and-drop it onto the main panel (the central space).
  3. To provide synchronization of SFDC with QB, or the wrong way round, you'll need the QuickBooks and SalesForce connectors. For bidirectional sycnronization, use the QuickBooks Bidirectional and SalesForce Bidirectional connectors. Map them with the operation node as shown in the picture below.
