This guide will help you learn how to work with Sybase databases in Apatar.

Configuration

To start working with Sybase DB,

  1. Drag-and-drop the Sybase connector to Apatar's work panel.

  2. Double-click on the connector. The Property window will pop up.
  3. Fill in the configuration details (database name, host name, user name, and password). If necessary, change the port number.

  4. Click Next.
  5. Choose the tables that you want to operate. To select multiple tables, click on their names holding the Control key.

  6. Select the mode in which the transformation should run. (Click here to read about the difference between the modes.)If you select Update mode, please also select the field(s) from the list that should be used as primary keys to define if a record already exists in the data target.
Make sure you map the fields selected as primary keys to input fields in an operation connecting your data source and data target.
If you want to overwrite existing files in the Update mode, choose Yes; otherwise, choose No. You can remove all files switching the Clear all files checkbox on.

  7. Click Finish.

Finally, you can preview the output data. To do so, right-click on the connector and choose Preview Results.
