This guide will help you learn how to configure the connector for PostgreSQL in Apatar.

Configuration

  1. Drag-and-drop the PostgreSQL icon onto Apatar's main panel.

  2. Double-click the node to configure it.
  3. In the Property window that appears, fill in the user name, password, host name, port number and the name of the database you want to read.

  4. Click Next.
  5. Now, select the tables to extract data from or write to. To select multiple items, hold the Control key when clicking them.
  6. Click Next.
  7. At this last connector configuration screen select the mode in which the transformation should run. (Click here to read about the difference between the modes.) If you select the Update mode, please also select the field(s) from the list that should be used as primary keys to define if a record already exists in the data target.
Make sure you map the fields selected as primary keys to input fields in an operation connecting your data source and data target.
  1. Click Finish. Now you can map the connector and use it as a data source or target.
