This guide will help you learn how to extract and load data from/to ODBC data sources. Apatar's ODBC connector allows you to extract and load data from/to ODBC data sources you have set up at your machine. The connector relies on the functionality provided by the ODBC drivers you have installed.
Pay Attention!
The connector has been tested on a limited number of data sources. Please do report any issues you face working with it to support@apatar.com or by posting an issue at http://apatarforge.org/bugs/secure/CreateIssue!default.jspa

Configuration

To gain access to your ODBC data source, please do the following:

1. Drag-and-drop connector for ODBC data sources to Apatar's work panel.

2. Double-click on the connector.

3. Fill in the authorization details.

DSN is the name of the ODBC data source.

Windows users can check on the correct name to use at:

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Data Sources (ODBC)

Linux users should type in ODBCInst in the command line

Username and password should only be filled in if your ODBC driver doesn't contain them.

4. Click Next.

5. Select the table you want to work with.

Note!
The connector works with the database selected in the driver.

6. Click Next.

7. Select the mode in which the transformation should run if you are writing to an ODBC data source and click Finish
