  Pad Left Function

This guide will help you learn how to add a required number of blank spaces from the left side of a string using Apatar.

Configuration

To start adding blank spaces with the Pad Left function,

  1. Configure data sources and provide the mapping



    In this example, we will use the following table as a source:



  2. Open the Transform node
  3. Switch to the Functions tab
  4. Click on the String section to find the Pad Left icon
  5. Drag-and-drop it to the Transformation's work panel



  6. Switch back to the Inputs tab and map the input and output fields according to the picture below



  7. Click on the Pad Left node to select the number of blank spaces you need to insert



  8. Press Ok and close the Transformation window

Preview

To preview the results, right-click on the output node and select "Preview Results". The following window will pop up:

           

Close the window and continue data integration.
