This guide will help you learn how to verify Social Security information with CDYNE Death Index using Apatar and prevent deceased credit fraud. The service notifies if the customer is deceased, providing information about the date of death, date of birth, and zip code of last known residence. All of the information cross-references with CDYNE's Death Index master file, which is updated directly from the U.S. Social Security Administration once a month.

Configuration

To start validating Social Security information using CDYNE Death Index Web service,

  1. Drag-and-drop the CDYNE Death Index node to Apatar's work panel.
  2. Drag-and-drop and configure the source connector related to a database you want to extract Social Security numbers from.
  3. You also need two more connectors for output data. The former one will contain the records with valid numbers, while the latter one will contain the records with wrong or unvalidated numbers. Configure them, as well.
  4. If the names of the fields differ in the source and output tables, place two Transform operations between the CDYNE Death Index node and the output connectors.
  5. Map the connectors according to the picture bellow.

  6. Double-click on the CDYNE Death Index node to configure it.

  7. Provide your CDYNE Web services authentication details.
  8. After that, CDYNE Death Index work panel should occur. Drag-and-drop the field(-s) containing Social Security numbers to the work panel. Map it with the function from the right column.

  9. Click Ok.
  10. To save your money and not waste it on the same phone numbers again and again, Apatar uses temporary storage containing the results of each validation. You can also adjust the life time of this accessory database. To do so, clik the Clear button and set the necessary frequence of the storage updates.

  11. Finally, configure the Transform nodes preceding the output connectors.

Now you can launch the validation.
