This guide will help you learn how to improve Apatar performance adjusting memory usage set up in Apatar's code.

Prerequisites

For best performance of Apatar, please make sure you have enough disk space on the hard drive where Apatar runs.

As well, you can adjust the memory used by Apatar during transformations.

Adjusting memory usage

By default, Apatar uses 288Mb of RAM. However, if you are working with large amounts of data, you may increase this volume to speed up your transformations. Allocating more memory space for Apatar may reduce your PC RAM usage down to 70-80% and improve processor's performance.

To do so,

  1. close the Apatar application
  2. go to the folder where Apatar is installed in
  3. find the "application.bat" file and right-click on it
  4. choose Edit
  5. in the code, please find the "xmx288m" string and replace 288 with a geater value (for example, 1024)
  6. save the file

Now you re-launch Apatar.
