I have successfully installed and used Apatar. Now when I try to start the application I am getting the message "The application already running. Only one instance of the application is allowed at a moment"

I reinstalled the application but still getting the same message.

Hi mirmatin,

If you get this message it means that your Apatar is being used at the moment. Try to install Apatar in different folder and start application from there.

Sergei

Hi mirmatin,

The issue you have described might be caused by Apatar remaining in the processes due to a system failure. Please check the running processes for jawaw.exe in Task Manager, and, you find one, end it.

Apply the above procedure and did not find the process jawaw.exe running on my machine and even then, the error "The application already running. Only one instance of the application is allowed at the moment" persists. Is there anything more that can be done?

Go to the folder where Apatar is installed in and delete "tempdb" and "systemdb" folders, empty Recycle Bin. Run Apatar. This should help.

BTW, please send my regards to Wendel!

Sergei,

I sent a message to Wendel and he had a regards for you.

The folders that you mentioned does not exist in the directory of my Apatar instalation. What happened was that I changed the computer and installed again the Apatar in the new machine and since the installation can not enter.

Dear jgmuzetti,

Could you please elaborate on the Windows version installed on your PC? Did you try to install Apatar to the direction it sets by default?

Regards,
Sergei

Im running into this identical issue when trying to install apatar on my hp laptop running Windows Vista. I did check the processes and the aforementioned folders do not exist. Any clues.

I did do an uninstall and a reinstall. The only thing that struck me as odd is that I did not get the registration screen which was shown in the install demo video.

Maybe I'll go through another uninstall-reinstall process only this time I'll point to another folder?

Any pointers would help enormously!

sincerely,
k7

I've just installed Apatar on my laptop with the following configuration:
Windows Vista Ultimate SP 1
Processor Intel Core 2 Duo
System Type 64 - bit OS

Windows Defender in On, Windows Firewall is On.

I did not installed Java machine which goes with Apatar installation package as I have it. Installation was successful.
If click Start - All programs - Apatar - Application it says that
Quote:
"windows cannot find 'javaw'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

If go to the folder where Apatar is installed in and see that I do not have systemdb and tempdb folders as well, because i didn't launch Apatar yet. I click on 'application.bat' file and a Registration window pops up. Enter my credentials - Login successful. Go back to the folder where Apatar is installed in and see that systemdb and tempdb folders where created.

Thus I could not reproduce your situation.

Could you please elaborate on your Windows Vista version? (btw, do you install the latest windows updates?)

Regards,
Sergei

I installed version 1.12.23 on Win7 64bit and got the app already running error. My solution was to reinstall to a folder with no spaces or other punctuation in the name. Then the program ran.
